About Us

Globevia News is an independent digital news publication based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. We report on Slovenia, Europe and the wider world for readers who want clear, accurate and fair journalism.

What we cover

Our newsroom covers Slovenian politics, the economy and society, the European Union and its member states, and international affairs. We also report on business, technology, science, health, sport, culture, lifestyle, travel and the environment.

Our commitment to accuracy

Every story we publish is attributed to a named author or to the Globevia News desk, shows when it was published and when it was last updated, and is checked before publication. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly. Read our editorial policy and our corrections policy to see how we work.

Independence

Editorial decisions at Globevia News are made by our editors alone. Advertisers, sponsors and other commercial partners have no influence over what we report or how we report it.
